Isaiah 44:17

וּשְׁאֵ֣רִית֔וֹ לְאֵ֥ל עָשָׂ֖ה לְפִסְל֑וֹ יסגוד־יִסְגָּד־ל֤וֹ וְיִשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ וְיִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלָ֔יו וְיֹאמַר֙ הַצִּילֵ֔נִי כִּ֥י אֵלִ֖י אָֽתָּה׃
vshʾeriytvo lʾel ʿashah lpislvo ysgvd-yisgad-lvo vyishtaḥv vyitpalel ʾelayv vyoʾmar haṣiyleniy kiy ʾeliy ʾatah
King James Version (KJV)

And the residue thereof he maketh a god, {even} his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth {it}, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou {art} my god.

Modern English

The rest of it he makes into a god, even his engraved image. He bows down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me; for you are my god!”
