Entonces el rey Sedequías dio la orden, y confiaron a Jeremías al patio de la guardia. Le daban cada día una hogaza de pan de la calle de los panaderos, hasta que se acabó todo el pan en la ciudad. Así Jeremías permaneció en el patio de la guardia.
Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
וַיְצַוֶּ֞ה הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ צִדְקִיָּ֗הוּ וַיַּפְקִ֣דוּ אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָהוּ֮ בַּחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָה֒ וְנָתֹן֩ ל֨וֹ כִכַּר־לֶ֤חֶם לַיּוֹם֙ מִח֣וּץ הָאֹפִ֔ים עַד־תֹּ֥ם כָּל־הַלֶּ֖חֶם מִן־הָעִ֑יר וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ בַּחֲצַ֖ר הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃
vayṣaveh hamelek ṣidqiyahv vayapqidv ʾet-yirmyahv baḥaṣar hamaṭarah vnaton lvo kikar-leḥem layvom miḥvṣ haʾopiym ʿad-tom kal-haleḥem min-haʿiyr vayesheb yirmyahv baḥaṣar hamaṭarah
