El SEÑOR Dios preparó una planta trepadora e hizo que creciera sobre Jonás para darle sombra y aliviar su malestar. Jonás se alegró muchísimo por la planta.
And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made {it} to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. {gourd: or, palmcrist: Heb. Kikajon} {was...: Heb. rejoiced with great joy}
וַיְמַ֣ן יְהוָֽה־אֱ֠לֹהִים קִיקָי֞וֹן וַיַּ֣עַל ׀ מֵעַ֣ל לְיוֹנָ֗ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת צֵל֙ עַל־רֹאשׁ֔וֹ לְהַצִּ֥יל ל֖וֹ מֵרָֽעָת֑וֹ וַיִּשְׂמַ֥ח יוֹנָ֛ה עַל־הַקּֽ͏ִיקָי֖וֹן שִׂמְחָ֥ה גְדוֹלָֽה׃
vayman yhvah-ʾelohiym qiyqayvon vayaʿal ׀ meʿal lyvonah lihyvot ṣel ʿal-roʾshvo lhaṣiyl lvo meraʿatvo vayishmaḥ yvonah ʿal-haq͏iyqayvon shimḥah gdvolah
