Por eso dijimos: 'Sucederá que cuando digan esto a nosotros o a nuestras generaciones en el tiempo venidero, les diremos: "Mirad la copia del altar del SEÑOR que nuestros padres hicieron, no para holocausto ni para sacrificio, sino como testimonio entre nosotros y vosotros."'
Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should {so} say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say {again}, Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it {is} a witness between us and you.
וַנֹּ֕אמֶר וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־יֹאמְר֥וּ אֵלֵ֛ינוּ וְאֶל־דֹּרֹתֵ֖ינוּ מָחָ֑ר וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ רְא֣וּ אֶת־תַּבְנִית֩ מִזְבַּ֨ח יְהוָ֜ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשׂ֣וּ אֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ לֹ֤א לְעוֹלָה֙ וְלֹ֣א לְזֶ֔בַח כִּי־עֵ֣ד ה֔וּא בֵּינֵ֖ינוּ וּבֵינֵיכֶֽם׃
