Los galaaditas tomaron los vados del Jordán contra los de Efraín; y cuando alguno de los fugitivos de Efraín decía: «Quiero pasar», los hombres de Galaad le preguntaban: «¿Eres tú efrateo?» Si respondía «No»;
And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was {so}, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, {Art} thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
וַיִּלְכֹּ֥ד גִּלְעָ֛ד אֶֽת־מַעְבְּר֥וֹת הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן לְאֶפְרָ֑יִם וְֽ֠הָיָה כִּ֣י יֹאמְר֞וּ פְּלִיטֵ֤י אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ אֶעֱבֹ֔רָה וַיֹּ֨אמְרוּ ל֧וֹ אַנְשֵֽׁי־גִלְעָ֛ד הַֽאֶפְרָתִ֥י אַ֖תָּה וַיֹּ֥אמֶֽר ׀ לֹֽא׃
vayilkod gilʿad ʾet-maʿbrvot hayarden lʾeprayim vhayah kiy yoʾmrv pliyṭey ʾeprayim ʾeʿeborah vayoʾmrv lvo ʾanshey-gilʿad haʾepratiy ʾatah vayoʾmer ׀ loʾ
