Y todavía preguntan: "¿Por qué?" Porque el SEÑOR fue testigo entre tú y la esposa de tu juventud, contra quien actuaste con deslealtad, aunque ella es tu compañera y la esposa de tu pacto.
Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet {is} she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם עַל־מָ֑ה עַ֡ל כִּי־יְהוָה֩ הֵעִ֨יד בֵּינְךָ֜ וּבֵ֣ין ׀ אֵ֣שֶׁת נְעוּרֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ בָּגַ֣דְתָּה בָּ֔הּ וְהִ֥יא חֲבֶרְתְּךָ֖ וְאֵ֥שֶׁת בְּרִיתֶֽךָ׃
vaʾamartem ʿal-mah ʿal kiy-yhvah heʿiyd beynka vbeyn ׀ ʾeshet nʿvreyka ʾasher ʾatah bagadtah bah vhiyʾ ḥabertka vʾeshet briyteka
