וְאִ֨ישׁ בְּמָע֜וֹן וּמַעֲשֵׂ֣הוּ בַכַּרְמֶ֗ל וְהָאִישׁ֙ גָּד֣וֹל מְאֹ֔ד וְל֛וֹ צֹ֥אן שְׁלֹֽשֶׁת־אֲלָפִ֖ים וְאֶ֣לֶף עִזִּ֑ים וַיְהִ֛י בִּגְזֹ֥ז אֶת־צֹאנ֖וֹ בַּכַּרְמֶֽל׃
vʾiysh bmaʿvon vmaʿashehv bakarmel vhaʾiysh gadvol mʾod vlvo ṣoʾn shloshet-ʾalapiym vʾelef ʿiziym vayhiy bigzoz ʾet-ṣoʾnvo bakarmel

And {there was} a man in Maon, whose possessions {were} in Carmel; and the man {was} very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel. {possessions: or, business}
