Y todo el pueblo disputaba en todas las tribus de Israel, diciendo: «El rey nos libró de manos de nuestros enemigos, y nos salvó de manos de los filisteos; y ahora ha huido del país a causa de Absalón.
And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.
וַיָּ֥קָם הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב בַּשָּׁ֑עַר וּֽלְכָל־הָעָ֞ם הִגִּ֣ידוּ לֵאמֹ֗ר הִנֵּ֤ה הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בַּשַּׁ֔עַר וַיָּבֹ֤א כָל־הָעָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל נָ֖ס אִ֥ישׁ לְאֹהָלָֽיו׃
vayaqam hamelek vayesheb bashaʿar vlkal-haʿam higiydv leʾmor hineh hamelek yvosheb bashaʿar vayaboʾ kal-haʿam lipney hamelek vyishraʾel nas ʾiysh lʾohalayv
