Porque Tofet ya de tiempo atrás está preparado y dispuesto también para el rey; ha preparado su hoguera profunda y ancha, con fuego y mucha leña; el soplo del SEÑOR, como torrente de azufre, lo enciende.
For Tophet {is} ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made {it} deep {and} large: the pile thereof {is} fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. {of old: Heb. from yesterday}
כִּֽי־עָר֤וּךְ מֵֽאֶתְמוּל֙ תָּפְתֶּ֔ה גַּם־הוא הִ֛יא לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ הוּכָ֖ן הֶעְמִ֣יק הִרְחִ֑ב מְדֻרָתָ֗הּ אֵ֤שׁ וְעֵצִים֙ הַרְבֵּ֔ה נִשְׁמַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ כְּנַ֣חַל גָּפְרִ֔ית בֹּעֲרָ֖ה בָּֽהּ׃
