Jefté les dijo: «Yo y mi pueblo teníamos una gran contienda con los hijos de Amón; y cuando os llamé, vosotros no me librasteis de sus manos.
And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יִפְתָּח֙ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אִ֣ישׁ רִ֗יב הָיִ֛יתִי אֲנִ֛י וְעַמִּ֥י וּבְנֵֽי־עַמּ֖וֹן מְאֹ֑ד וָאֶזְעַ֣ק אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־הוֹשַׁעְתֶּ֥ם אוֹתִ֖י מִיָּדָֽם׃
vayoʾmer yiptaḥ ʾaleyhem ʾiysh riyb hayiytiy ʾaniy vʿamiy vbney-ʿamvon mʾod vaʾezʿaq ʾetkem vloʾ-hvoshaʿtem ʾvotiy miyadam
