Pero su padre y su madre no sabían que esto era del SEÑOR, pues él buscaba una ocasión contra los filisteos; ya que en aquel tiempo los filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.
But his father and his mother knew not that it {was} of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
וְאָבִ֨יו וְאִמּ֜וֹ לֹ֣א יָדְע֗וּ כִּ֤י מֵיְהוָה֙ הִ֔יא כִּי־תֹאֲנָ֥ה הֽוּא־מְבַקֵּ֖שׁ מִפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים מֹשְׁלִ֥ים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
vʾabiyv vʾimvo loʾ yadʿv kiy meyhvah hiyʾ kiy-toʾanah hvʾ-mbaqesh miplishtiym vbaʿet hahiyʾ plishtiym moshliym byishraʾel
