Y llamaron el nombre de aquella ciudad Dan, conforme al nombre de Dan su padre, quien había nacido a Israel; aunque antes el nombre de la ciudad era Lais.
And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city {was} Laish at the first.
וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ שֵׁם־הָעִיר֙ דָּ֔ן בְּשֵׁם֙ דָּ֣ן אֲבִיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוּלַּ֖ד לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאוּלָ֛ם לַ֥יִשׁ שֵׁם־הָעִ֖יר לָרִאשֹׁנָֽה׃
vayiqrʾv shem-haʿiyr dan bshem dan ʾabiyhem ʾasher yvlad lyishraʾel vʾvlam layish shem-haʿiyr lariʾshonah
