Entonces uno del pueblo le dijo: «Tu padre ha hecho jurar solemnemente al pueblo, diciendo: 'Maldito el que hoy coma alimento.'» El pueblo desfallecía.
Then answered one of the people, and said, Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed {be} the man that eateth {any} food this day. And the people were faint. {faint: or, weary}
וַיַּעַן֩ אִ֨ישׁ מֵֽהָעָ֜ם וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הַשְׁבֵּעַ֩ הִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ אָבִ֤יךָ אֶת־הָעָם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אָר֥וּר הָאִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יֹ֥אכַל לֶ֖חֶם הַיּ֑וֹם וַיָּ֖עַף הָעָֽם׃
